See notice received from NDEP re: Funding

Notice:

Recycling and Solid Waste Grant Program

READERS NOTE: Due to unforeseen circumstances NDEP will be unable to fund any grants until further notice. By way of background, the Bureau of Waste Management, Solid Waste branch receives its funding from tire fees collected statewide. NDEP's portion of the tire fee is used to fund the Solid Waste Branch in its entirety and the subsequent grant program. The 2007 fiscal year funding experienced a dramatic down turn in tire fee revenues, putting our operating budget in jeopardy and eliminating any surplus for grant use. To prevent a reoccurrence of this situation, we will subsequently delay any grant activities until we have a firm funding amount for the grant program.

Please support the Cartridge Recycling Efforts

The neverending fight to end Toner & Inkjet cartridge waste requires a lot of dedication and a lot of work.   There are so many things that you can do to help, and one of them is to provide financial support to Pinky Pink's Ink, (PPI) Pollution Prevention Innovation, so we can maintain our network of activists and provide information and other services to those who need them.  Your financial support can come in a variety of forms.
